Sullukang & Palatokke

Sullukang & Palatokke

From Ke’te Kesu you can walk on a paved road to Sullukang, which has a rante (ceremonial ground) marked by a number of large, rough-hewn megaliths, and on to Palatokke. In this beautiful area of lush rice paddies and traditional houses, there is an enormous cliff face containing several cave graves and hanging graves.

Access to the caves is difficult (there's a steep path with rubble to scramble over), but the scenery makes it worthwhile. From Palatokke there are roads to La’bo and Randanbatu, where there are more graves, and on to Sangalla, Suaya and Makale.
